Ahem. Confession here.
Someone only took pre-activity photos and got so busy visiting with everyone and enjoying herself that she neglected to take any photos
during the actual activity. We won't name names. . .
So enjoy some photos of the table settings for the activity (they
are lovely), interspersed with some grammatical descriptions of the event - don't worry, even though the missing pictures are "worth 1000 words"
each I'll try and be brief but descriptive.

Our August Relief Society midweek Activity was a Salad Social. Everyone was invited to bring a favorite salad of their choice (pasta, potato, quinoa, crab, chicken, jello, garden, chef. . .the possibilities were endless). Wouldn't it be cool to see a picture of all the salads y'all brought!! ;)
After some opening exercises and an opening prayer we filled our plates with a variety of yummy salads and homebaked rolls. We want to share the recipes, and as we get them we will publish the links here:
Quinoa Fruit Salad - Deanna Dotter
Copycat Olive Garden Salad - Kara Schofield
Please send us your recipe so we can add it to the collection!!!

The decorations and dessert followed a Citrus Theme. Little Ellie painted us some colorful artwork for our welcome and dessert tables.
After we enjoyed our salads it was time for dessert :)
All of the desserts were citrus flavored. Of course there were several more yummy desserts than what you see pictured above. . .

While we all enjoyed our dessert, Sheri Lloyd and Diane Sallaway read us some super fun bios that helped us get to know several of our new sisters better. They had been super sneaky and asked the ladies husbands for help putting the information together. Such fun stuff!! Loved hearing so many details and getting to know them better.
At the end of the evening we closed with a prayer. Sheri Lloyd had put together these recipe booklets with all of the dessert recipes in them.
