Thank you to Mallory Burton for teaching our Relief Society lesson on Sunday. Our topic was "You Matter To Him," from a General Conference talk given by President Uchtdorf in October. Mallory pointed out how this relates perfectly to her favorite Young Womens value Individual Worth.
President Uchtdorf states, "But even though man is nothing, it fills me with wonder and awe to think that "the worth of souls is great in the sight of God. (D&C 18:10) And while we may look at the vast expanse of the universe and say, 'What is man in comparison to the glory of creation?' God Himself said we are the reason He created the universe! His work and glory - the purpose for this magnificent universe - is to save and exalt mankind." (Moses 1:38-39)
To point out how our Heavenly Father loves us and has given us each unique and special talents and qualities, Sister Burton had us do a fun exercise where we all stated something we LOVE about ourselves. It was so fun to hear everyone's responses.
