Just a reminder - we need everyone's help!!!
This Saturday our Stake is performing service for the City of Frisco by volunteering at the Gary Burns Fun Run.
The Stake has committed 1000 volunteers, so everyone is asked to come and help. Adult Volunteers meet at the grassy area to the west/Tollway side of Frisco City Hall (aka the library building). Parking is at the Cinemark Theater. Choose your time - you can come at 5:30 am or 7:00 am. Please be early or on time - traffic/roads may be closed once the race begins.
For those of you with youth age 12-18 here are the details for their service opportunity:
Event name: Stake Service Project - Youth Needed
Event description: GARY BURNS FUN RUN SERVICE PROJECT
This is a Stake-wide service project.
We are excited to be a part of this large event and know it’s a great opportunity for us to serve and to be visible to our community. Our stake’s youth will be able to serve together at this event.
TIME: All youth 12+ are needed at 6am this Saturday, 10/27. If youth cannot arrive at this time, they can meet at 7:30, but we really need as many as possible at 6.
PLACE: All youth should meet at the grassy area to the west/Tollway side of Frisco City Hall (aka the library building). Parking is at the Cinemark Theater.
HOW LONG: We will serve from the time we arrive until clean-up after the event. The run is estimated to end about 9am so best guess is that we’d be done serving about 9:30. If youth want to run in the event, they should come at 6am to serve, run the event, and then join back in for clean-up.
WHAT: We will be providing service in 2 areas. Youth will be working with either Terri or Molly from the city/FISD. Terri and Molly will each take half our youth volunteers to help with the Community Activity Area or with Environmental Coordination.
