Please welcome our newest (youngest?) members of the Prosper 2 Relief Society!

We asked the mothers of these beautiful young ladies to share a few thoughts and facts with us about their daughters. Their responses are below.

  • Ellie (Gabriella) Hakes was born right here in Dallas, and she is oldest of four girls.
  • Ellie will be attending SMU in the fall, where she received a scholarship to the Meadows School of the Arts!
  • Her parents are so pleased with her many accomplishments, especially her acceptance into SMU, her driving skills, her ability to accomplish whatever she sets her mind to and her goodness.
  • If Ellie could live in any home from a movie or television series, it would be the apartment from the show "New Girl."
  • Regarding Ellie's entrance into Relief Society, mom Briana says, "I love the good friends that I have made over the years in Relief Society and the sisterhood that we have, and I wish that for her."

  • Jensen Argyle was born in Carrolton and is the oldest of five. She has two sisters and two brothers.
  • Her parents are proud of the fact that she got herself up at 4:30 every morning for seminary all four years. Jensen is a hard worker, independent, and ready to enter adulthood!
  • Jensen loves reading, writing, acting, and singing. She plans to attend BYU-Idaho this fall, seeking a degree in English with an emphasis on creative writing. After that she would like to find work as a book editor in the publishing industry.
  • Jensen's favorite book is Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson. She recently read Six Years by Harlan Coben and the next book on her list is I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith.
  • As Jensen enters Relief Society, Shahna tells her, "I love Relief Society. It's a great place to rub shoulders with women who share your values and standards and who edify and uplift you."

  • Nicole was born in Portland, Oregon and is the oldest of four. She has a sister and two brothers.
  • Nicole is an outstanding volleyball player. She is a fiercely loyal friend and loves to spend time with friends. She adores surprises: both to have them and to surprise others. She loves to modge podge, paint, decorate, do photography and bake goodies for others.  She has been known to bring cupcakes, cookies, veggie trays, pizzas and more to school for her whole class on many occasions. She also enjoys traveling. When necessary she can choreograph award winning dance routines for family reunion talent shows!
  • Nicole plans on attending BYU starting in the winter of 2014. Her major is still undecided, but she knows for sure she wants to be a wife and mother; she loves children and they have so much fun with her.
  • Nicole's parents are very proud of Nicole for earning her Young Womanhood Recognition. As part of that she had a project watching over her cousins for several summers. One of her cousins has Down's Syndrome and Nicole has always been amazing with her. They have developed a special bond with one another over the years and helped one another grow.
  • A dream of hers would be fulfilled if she were to have front row seats to an Enrique Iglesias concert with Maroon 5 running a close second.
  • About Relief Society, Nicole's mom Heidi states, "I love the sisterhood of Relief Society. I love how together we can accomplish so much more good in the world than we can on our own. I hope that Nicole discovers and understands the strengthening power that comes from serving and watching over one another. She has a tremendous capacity to love others. She glows when she is able to serve and help someone overcome a trial, and if she can't help them overcome it, she is always eager to lend support and comfort. These are natural abilities that she has, and I hope she discovers early to use these talents as a visiting teacher. I hope she also quickly discovers that the Relief Society or her visiting teachers are there for her to lean on as well. Especially as she ventures out on her own."

    • Tatiana was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and is the second oldest of six. She has two sisters and three brothers.
    • Tatiana likes gymnastics and dance.
    • Tatiana is attending school at BYU-Idaho in the fall with her older sister. They are very much looking forward to being together!
    • Tatiana's parents are most proud of her perseverance, patience, kindheartedness, and valiant spirit.
    • Tatiana can sing all of the songs from the Disney movie "Tangled" on demand. ;)
    • Regarding Relief Society, Tatiana's mom Sandy explains, "I like the visiting teaching program of the Relief Society and hope that she makes lifelong friends with her visiting teaching companions and sisters."
