With God All Things Are Possible

 

     "Do you ever feel like there is more to do than you can manage?" Sister Wilson asked.  In the lesson President Snow taught, "The nature of those demands upon us [is] such that no person can comply with them, unless by assistance from the Almighty. … He has promised this aid."

 

     Sister Wilson expounded on President Snow's words.  She taught that we have the responsibility to not only let, but to expect The Lord to help us.  Our lives are His work.  And, there is more to do than we alone can do!  We must realize this and move forward, relying on The Lord to help us.

 

     She spoke of faith.  Nephi was commanded to build a ship, something he had never done before.  He did not leave Nephi alone in his effort.  The Lord told Nephi how to construct the ship, where to go to find the ore to make the tools.  He was with Nephi leading, guiding him and lighting his way. 

 

     The Lord wants us to realize His hand in our lives.  We learn this lesson as we read of Gideon's army (Judges Chapter 7).  Our Heavenly Father is in the details of our lives.  He is aware of each of us.  He has promised His aid in all that we are required to do. 

 

God has promised to help us in our personal efforts to live the gospel.

 

     "In and of ourselves we cannot possibly comply with all the commandments that God has given unto us. And in every circumstance and condition surrounding the Latter-day Saints, while in the performance of their duties, they are entitled to supernatural aid from the Holy Spirit, to help in the various conditions surrounding them, and in the duties that they are required to perform.
