Sunday Soundbite

The lesson The Kingdom of God Moves Forward was taught by Sister Annilee Cook.  Annilee commented that she felt like she should pull out her cheerleader outfit as the visual aid for this lesson.  It was an encouraging lesson about doing our part to move the Kingdom of God forward. Sister Cook beautifully shared President Snow's teachings.  In this lesson we were reminded that:

• Jesus Christ is the head of the Church
• The Kingdom of God will move forward with force and power, and with grand and glorious success.
• Everything that stands in the way of this work will be removed.
• This Church will stand, because it is upon a firm foundation.

Sister Cook challenged each sister to make sure that her testimony is built on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ.  President Snow remarked, "We are the people of God, and He will protect us as we go forward and do all that He requires.  The Lord very possibly may cause a heavy pressure to bear upon us, such as will require great sacrifice at the hands of his people."

The question with us is, will we make that sacrifice?
