Sister Ross began the New Year in Relief Society with a lesson on the Godhead. She reminded us of many attributes of God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost.
Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are glorified, perfected, immortal personages who have feelings for us. How can we come to know the Father? Elder Scott said that we can pray. We can address Him, briefly or by taking all the time we need, and He will ever answer us. Lara shared an experience about feeling Heavenly Father's love. Lara's friend shared that sometimes she just needs to know that Heavenly Father is there, and so she kneels and asks to feel God's love for her. Lara tried that too and testified that every time she has asked, she has indeed felt God's love for her.
We discussed the blessing of the Holy Ghost. For, all that we know of truth comes from the Holy Ghost. He is our comforter, He can sanctify us, He is our constant companion and our protector. President Packer stated that we will not make a major mistake without first having been warned by the Holy Ghost.
