What an amazingly "love"ly Midweek Relief Society Meeting we had on Tuesday. Many thanks to all who came out and participated. Thanks to our RS Board members Briana, Holly, Sandy, & Tonja for all they did to get everything planned and ready for this wonderful evening. And we can't forget to thank our fearless leaders Kara and Sheri as well :)

As promised here is a list of some of the ideas that were shared of ways we can show love for Valentine's Day and throughout the year.
Briana:
1. When we love our Savior we understand more fully his great love for us. This helps us to love ourselves, our family and those around us.
2. Makes her special and beautiful "Secret Recipe" heart shaped cookies for her family. These cookies take time to make - it's definitely a labor of love!

1. When we serve and love others, we focus less on the trials in our own lives.
2. Speak kindly of others. Learn to filter what we say - "Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?"
Sheri
1. Make a red and pink dinner/ breakfast/ lunch with heart shaped food. "I carry my heart shaped cookie cutter and bottle of red food coloring around with me all day."
2. It's not so much what we do, but that we do something.
3. Write little notes to your children about how much you love them. Have a mailbox - whether simple or grand - for them to go to and check.

Shahna:
1. Red dinner plate idea - each Sunday a different child gets the red plate. Throughout the meal take turns saying what you like about that child.
2. Sunday evenings each child writes a small note to each of their siblings on inexpensive stationary. Then these notes get put in their lunches throughout the week as a sweet reminder of how much they are loved.

1. Valentine Day Dinner is the one night each year that they have a candlelight dinner - use fine china and make fancy foods.
2. Remember to say "I love you" to your children each day as they leave for school.
Kim:1. Hide notes in unexpected places for your husband to find during the day. Her husband is a pilot and was gone quite a bit, so she would hide the notes throughout his luggage.
2. "It's important to remember our men! In our busy family lives they often get overlooked."
After those inspiring thoughts we got down to the business of crafting and visiting and eating - FUN!
Some of us made banners -
Some worked on the heart envelopes - A BIG GINORMOUS THANK YOU TO CARLA FOR CUTTING OUT OVER
Some of us were making valentine cards -
And everyone had a good visit -
Thank you Chrystalee for taking the pictures - probably why you're not in any of them :)
Hope everyone had a good time. Happy Valentine's Day!
