Just Serve

JustServe.org

Sister Karen McDonough, as a member of the Stake Public Affairs Committee, introduced us to the new church website JustServe.org.  We, in the Dallas area, have been included in the piloting of this program.  JustServe.org is an online database of service opportunities in our community.  All adult members of the ward have been encouraged to register as a volunteer. 

Once you've registered, you will receive email notifications of service opportunities as they come up.   This doesn't mean you are expected to participate in every event.  It is simply a way to inform individuals, families and church auxiliaries of opportunities. 

What is JustServe?

"JustServe brings together people who need help with those who are willing to give help. By partnering with churches, civic organizations, non-profits and government agencies, JustServe links you to service opportunities in your community so you can make a difference wherever you are and however you want to do it. We rely on these organizations to ensure the quantity and quality of those service opportunities. Once we know what the needs are, we tell you about them here on JustServe or through Facebook and then you can go get the job done. We make it easy to sign up, show up, or clean up, all on your time and in your way.
