Sister Theresa Burton taught a beautiful relief society lesson based on President Eyrings talk, "Help Them Aim High." She recounted how President Eyring sought to know what contributions his children would make in the Lord's kingdom. We discussed different ways we have, can, and might help our children see their individual gifts and understand their potential.
President Eyring made carvings for his children to represent their gifts. Sister Burton related ways in which she helped her boys realize their potential, including wall hangings, specific encouragement, and direction.
President Eyring said, "As you seek revelation to see gifts God sees in those you lead...particularly the young - you will be blessed to lift their sights to the service they can perform. With your guidance, those you lead will be able to see, want, and believe they can achieve their full potential for service in God's kingdom."
He promised that, "You can be inspired to recognize, as I did, specific gifts and unique opportunities for each of the youth you love and lead."
