Sunday Soundbite

Annilee Cook taught the lesson, "Come into the Temples".  She remarked about how early her little girl recognized and identified a picture of the temple in their home.  She shared the link to this video that speaks to the preparation required to go to the temple: Always in Our Sights.

President Lorenzo Snow taught, "The prospects that God has opened up to our view are wonderful and grand; the imagination cannot conceive of them. Come into the Temples and we will show you.
… He has prepared everything for the Latter-day Saints that they could possibly wish or imagine in order to effect their complete happiness throughout the vast eternities,"

Sister Cook emphasized the importance of not waiting to do temple work until it is easy or convenient.  Rather we should make time, perhaps even make sacrifices, so that we can perform temple work for our families.  In her object lesson she showed her beautiful, delicious cupcakes under a glass lid.  Although we could all see the cupcakes, we could not partake of them.  She likened this to the temple ordinances that our ancestors want, but cannot partake of with out our help.

President Snow declared, "I believe there will be very few who will not receive the truth. They will hear the voice of the Son of God; they will hear the voice of the Priesthood of the Son of God, and they will receive the truth and live. These brethren and sisters that are laboring so industriously in the temples will have the honor of being, as it were, saviors to their kindred and friends in whose favor they administered these ordinances."
